The Grüner Veltliner vine grows only in the Eisack Valley in South Tyrol and is very fruitful but susceptible to downy mildew and rust mite. It is first mentioned in the 18th century and according to DNA research turns out to be a natural cross between the Savagnin vine and an unknown vine found in Austria.

Il vitigno Grüner Veltliner cresce solamente nella Valle Isarco in Alto Adige, è molto fruttuoso ma suscettibile alla peronospora e all'acaro della ruggine. Viene menzionato per la prima volta nel diciottesimo secolo e secondo ricerche sul DNA risulta essere un incrocio naturale tra il vitigno Savagnin e un vitigno sconosciuto trovato in Austria.

The Sylvaner grape variety is first mentioned in 1665 when it was introduced to the Cistercian Abbey of Ebrach in Germany. According to DNA tests, it is derived from a natural cross between the Savagnin grape variety and the Österreichisch Weiss grape variety, which occurred more than 500 years ago. Sylvaner grows mainly in the Eisack Valley, but is also found in Germany, France and Switzerland and in smaller quantities in Eastern European countries.

This Riesling is made from only Rhine Riesling grapes from vineyards located in the Novacella and Varna area. The vineyards stand at an altitude of 700 meters on gravelly soils of morainic origin with sand and silt. Harvesting is divided into two parts, the first when the grapes reach optimal ripeness, while the second takes place when the grapes are slightly late in ripening. There are also two vinifications and both are carried out in separate stainless steel tanks, after racking the wine is blended and aged for 6 months in steel.
