Pietradolce winery's "Contrada Rampante," is an Etna Rosso that comes from the grape that is the symbol of this part of Sicily, Nerello Mascalese. The vines grow using the alberello system, are about 85 years old and ctgrow on soil located about 850 meters above sea level, consisting of a sandy loam texture. The must obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes ferments in steel, macerating in contact with the skins for a total of 18 days. The production process ends with aging, which lasts a total of 14 months and takes place in French oak tonneaux.
