Minutolo is a variety that has been growing in Apulia since the 1200s, but was first described in 1892. In the early 2000s, the search for an aromatic grape variety other than Fiano began, and in 2009 the name Minutolo was made official. It grows mainly in the Itria Valley in the province of Bari, but recently it has also developed in the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto.
