Terrano Venezia Giulia Igt 2018

The name Teran probably comes from the German word "ter," meaning tar, because of the very dark color of this grape. It is characterized by a not very compact, medium-sized cluster with large berries and a very thick skin. Teran is typical of Friuli and grows mainly in the Trieste Karst area on red soils rich in stones and iron. It is thought that this grape was probably described by Pliny the Elder as "Pucinum."
Ruby red with violet hues. Ferruginous notes, black fruits, herbs, pickled olives. Acidic, tannic, fruity notes.
