Muscat Petite Grain, the grape variety from which Chambave Muscat is made, is found in a restricted area in the territory of the municipalities of Verrayes and Chambave, which is at an altitude of 650 meters in an environment with great biodiversity, surrounded by forests, orchards and a rich variety of medicinal herbs. Exposed to the south in a natural amphitheater, the vines are cultivated using the Guyot method on typically alpine soil of morainic origin and rich in sand.
