Montefalco Sagrantino Passito is the traditional version of Sagrantino, made by drying the grapes on mats. The name originates from the Latin "sacer," a sacred wine that was consumed during festivals in the Christian tradition.

Withering of the clusters on racks for about 2 months. Maceration and fermentation at low temperature for about 10 days in steel tanks filled by gravity. Aging in 25 hl oak barrels for 12 months. Blending and clarification in concrete tanks for 18 months, then 12 months in bottle.
