The Uvalino vine is a very hardy and rustic variety, and according to genetic studies it is related to Neretto di Marengo. Uvalino belongs to the rare grape family; the correct name would be Uvarino, but due to the fact that in the Asti dialect the letter "r" is almost never pronounced, the name is commonly known as Uvalino.
Intense purple red with garnet hues. Ripe fruit, spices. Warm, balanced, tannic, acidic, sweet.
