Saia is made with only Nero d'Avola, the winery's most important wine. Its name comes from irrigation canals made centuries ago by the Arabs. Vineyards more than 30 years old stand in the Val di Noto in eastern Sicily on volcanic soils surrounded by citrus, fruit and vegetable crops.
