The name Bricco dell'Uccellone comes from the nickname that the townspeople gave to a woman who lived in the hillside of the vineyards, her nose resembled a bird's beak, plus she always wore black. Bricco dell'Uccellone is the wine that revolutionized the way we look at Barbera, which has always been considered a grape for light and simple wines, but with this wine has demonstrated the ability to make complex and structured wines.
