Nascetta is a grape variety native to Novello, a small town in the Langhe region, where it currently grows almost exclusively. This grape variety is first mentioned in 1880 in a book on oenology and viticulture in the province of Cuneo. Nascetta grapes are semi-aromatic, have low and irregular productivity and are susceptible to mold especially in wetter years. It is characterized by a compact medium to large cluster with a cylindrical shape.
