'È Iss' Campania Rosso Igt 2017
Tenuta San Francesco36.50 €
The name of the grape variety "Tintore di Tramonti" comes from the fact that it is a grape with very colorful juice, which is very rare, usually grapes have colorless flesh. Tramonti is the name of the small town on the Amalfi coast where the vineyards are located and derives from the Latin "triventum" or three winds, since strong, cold winds blow in this area. It is a rare grape, genetically related to some of the lesser grapes of Campania; it is not very fertile but is very vigorous, with high yields; it is susceptible to Botrytis, but local growers value it for its intense color and ability to accumulate sugars.
Ruby red with garnet highlights. Pine resin, roasted coffee, red fruit, hints of white pepper. Tannic, alcoholic, persistent.
