Taurasi Riserva Docg from the Perillo winery, is a red wine made from pure Aglianico grapes grown between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, on soils of varying composition: limestone-clay, tuffaceous and sandy. Thanks to the cold continental climate with strong temperature swings, Aglianico ripens slowly, accumulating a particularly rich array of aromas. The grapes are macerated for 20-30 days in steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels for 12 months and another 12 months in large wooden casks. This is followed by 8 years of bottle aging.
