Forastera is one of two really important grape varieties on Ischia. The name means stranger and refers to the fact that this vine was introduced to the island in the mid-1800s, but is not documented until 1867.
Bright golden yellow. Yellow fruit, herbs, Mediterranean notes, pine resin. Intense, fresh, assertive.
