Historical documents show that there were already vineyards in the Torrette area in the 11th-13th centuries. The "Valle d'Aosta Torrette" appellation requires at least 70% Petite Rouge grapes to be used. In this case the producer uses 80% Petite Rouge grapes to which 10% Fumin and 10% Cornalin are added.
