Petite Arvine Valle d'Aosta Doc

Petite Arvine Valle d'Aosta Doc 2022

Elio Ottin

Petite Arvine's order territory is probably Valais, Switzerland, but it is also possible that it is a vine native to the Aosta Valley, where Petite Arvine has been present for several centuries. It is also called "glacier vine" because of its ability to grow and adapt to the harsh climates of high altitudes. Vines are found at altitudes between 600 and 900 meters, where large temperature fluctuations promote a strong concentration of aromas. Plants must grow in sunny areas sheltered from strong winds, on poor but not very dry soils.
