'Barrua' Isola dei Nuraghi Rosso Igt 2016
AgripunicaSold out
The production of Barrua was conceived at the end of the 20th century, and after a few years the definitive wine was obtained. It is made from native Carignano grapes, grown in the Sulcis area, combined with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The logo on the label represents the obverse of an ancient coin found near the vineyards. It was discovered to date from the mid-12th century, minted for Barisone I of Arborea, King of Sardinia. The owner of the winery, a passionate scholar of history, suggested the idea of using the coin as Agripunica's logo.
Intense ruby red. Red fruits, flowers, tobacco, vanilla and balsamic notes. Warm, enveloping, tannic.
