'Ronco al Maso' Vespolina Colline Novaresi Doc 2022
Rovellotti

15.90 €
The Vespolina grape variety was first described in the first half of the 1800s and at that time was called "vitis vinifera circumpadana." It is a low-yielding variety with little disease resistance, but with a distinct peppery aroma due to the high presence of rotundone molecules. After phylloxera, Vespolina suffered a decline, due to the difficulty in adapting to the American rootstock, with irregular ripening and cluster production. It currently grows mainly in northeastern Piedmont and Lombardy, particularly in the provinces of Novara, Vercelli, Varese and Pavia.
Ruby red with violet hues. Macerated flowers, fresh fruit, spicy notes. Savory, fresh, fruity notes.
