Boca Doc 2016
Le PianeSold out
The Boca DOC is located in the northeastern part of Piedmont, includes the town of Boca in the province of Novara, and lies in the foothills of the Alps. The soils are moraine and originate from Monte Rosa; it is an overlay of alluvial soils originating from the sea that covered these areas before glaciation. The climate is affected by cold currents from Monte Rosa that create large temperature swings between day and night, but thanks to the natural shelter of Mount Fenera, winters are mild and throughout the year the climate is temperate and warm. These areas have been cultivated since the time of the first Roman colonization, and because of the conformation of the land, terraces and dry stone walls are used for the cultivation of vineyards.
Bright garnet red with ruby highlights. Fruit, jammy, citrus and balsamic notes, mineral, hints of olive brine. Firm, saline, slightly tannic, fresh, persistent.
