Barbera grapes are grown in the Vigna del Cuculo vineyard, from which the wine takes its name, which is part of the Bricco Boschis cru. The 60-plus-year-old vineyard stands on limestone marl soils and has a southwest and west exposure in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto.

Fermentation in concrete tanks with semi-submerged cap maceration for 12-18 days at a controlled temperature of 29°C. Malolactic fermentation in cement tanks. Aging for 24 months in 20-30-50 hl Slavonian oak barrels, then in bottle for at least 6 months.
