Barbaresco Vanotu owes its name to the Vanotu farmstead where it is produced. The farmstead is located on the intersection of the three communes, Treiso, Barbaresco and Neive, which are typical for Barbaresco production. The vineyards were planted in 1964 and stand at an altitude between 300 and 350 meters on soils rich in limestone.
