The Carema DOC is developed in the northernmost part of Piedmont, on the slopes of Mount Maletto in the Canavese region, bordering Valle d'Aosta. The vineyards stand at altitudes between 350 and 700 meters (1,000 and 2,000 feet), and are developed on terraces made of dry stone walls, topion in Piedmontese dialect, and stone pillars that allow them to capture the sun's heat and release it at night.

Deep garnet red. Medicinal herbs, red fruit, citrus, macerated flowers, red fruit jam. Firm, acidic, tannic, persistent, soft.
