Mirum is made from only Verdicchio di Mantelica grapes in the best vintages. The name comes from Contrada Monacesca, in the municipality of Matelica, where the 30-year-old vineyards planted on clay soil with a north-south exposure at an altitude of 400 meters are located. The grapes are allowed to overripe for about 2 weeks before being vinified and then aged for 2 years in steel and bottle.
