The wine takes its name from the historic vineyard above the town of Ranzo Borgo in the Arroscia Valley. The Russeghine hill was already surveyed as a vineyard of the Bishop's Curia since the late 1700s. The selected old vines grow in a hilly terroir, on terraces typical of the region, with southeastern exposure on red clay soils rich in iron minerals and skeleton.  

Il vino prende il nome dallo storico vigneto sopra il comune di Ranzo Borgo nella valle Arroscia. La collina del Russeghine era già censita a vigneto della Curia Vescovile dalla fine del 1700. Le vigne vecchie selezionate crescono in un terroir collinare, su terrazzamenti tipici della regione, con esposizione sud-est su terreni di argilla rossa ricchi di minerali ferrosi e scheletro.

Straw yellow with golden highlights. Aromatic herbs, rose, cinnamon, citrus. Silky, enveloping and savory, structured and mineral.

The name U Baccan in Ligurian dialect means "the boss." From the careful selection of over 50-year-old vines planted on clay soils in the Arroscia valley, Pigato grapes, harvested mainly from the Russeghine vineyard, allow the production of a complex wine with great personality, and with excellent aging capacity.

Pulin in Ligurian dialect means "last born," and is a project desired by the producer to rediscover and enhance the Granaccia grape variety, akin to Grenache from the Lower Rhone. It is grown along with Sirah and Barbera close to the Mediterranean scrub, on lean, stony soils rich in clay in the Arroscia valley.
