'Ferentano' Lazio Igt 2016

Famiglia Cotarella

Although it is a white grape, it gets its name from the red color of the skin, which turns pinkish when the clusters are ripe. In various areas of Lazio and Umbria it is also called Roscetto but it is not an official name. Rossetto is believed to be synonymous with Trebbiano Giallo but according to producers they are two different grape varieties, just as the theory that Greco Bianco and Rossese are identical is unfounded.
