La Cruna del Lago takes its name from the eye of a needle shape the vineyard once had, it is among the oldest on the estate, planted about 65 years ago. The grape variety is a Falanghina Campi Flegrei, some of the vines are trained on free-range, it grows on land in the area of the same name, is of very ancient volcanic origin with a mild, temperate climate of the Bay of Naples
