'Vigna del Convento di Capestrano' Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DocValle Reale
Vigna del Convento di Capestrano is the winery's newest cru. It owes its name to the convent of St. Francis that was built in the 15th century where the vineyards now grow. It is an area in the Peligna valley with a hot, dry climate due to its eastern exposure and lean, skeletal-rich soil with a good clay component, which gives the Montepulciano grapes power and concentration.
Concentrated ruby red. Red fruits, underbrush. Complex, structured, persistent.
