Pieluni is made from only late-harvested Montepulciano D'Abruzzo grapes. The vineyards are located in the municipality of Controguerra, in the province of Teramo, on sandy soil at an altitude of 285 meters. Vinification takes place in steel, and aging is done in barrique and bottle in caves located near the winery.
